101 Dalmatians Are In Town: Sharing Our Family Halloween Costumes

Give me the puppies!  The 101 Dalmatians are in town!

Even though Lily is only six months young we decided to make Lily’s first Halloween memorable for her by doing family costumes.  Inspired by the costumes I was browsing through for Lily.  Initially I was searching for a warm costume for her.  With what started out as some online window shopping and Lily being the star of our family quickly evolved to a family affair. When I came across the dalmatian costume it was obvious it was perfect for baby’s first Halloween and from there it was just a domino effect and it inspired the rest of us all to collaborate.  As always it all started with her.  We all dressed up in costumes together for the first time as a family and it was magical to play another character.  Little Lily was getting a little overwhelmed being puppy-napped by the end of our photo-shoot so we had to make it a quick session but the shots we did get tell a story.  She was such a trooper and made it through her first halloween costume appearance.  Believe it or not the “set” was our apartment building, it completely worked in transporting us to a different world.  As always, I’m amazed with the magic of a little creativity and what it does for the imagination.  These are memories we can look back on for years to come and they will tell the story of our life.

Baby’s first Halloween:

It’s unbelievable how fast the holidays are speeding by.  We are so excited to take Lily for a short stroll on Halloween to have her truly participate in her first Halloween by trick-or-treating.  She can not eat the candy, but she can shake a pack of skittles or nerds.  She very much enjoys playing with the rattle like candy as toys and mom and dad may indulge in a few treats 😉 to help our little girl out of course.
