I love the holidays and change of seasons and what makes it more fun is being able to enjoy the season you’re in! When the seasons change I try to emulate the season with decorations to switch up the home atmosphere from the usual everyday to something fun. Seeing the decorations makes me feel happy and excited and so I spend my efforts putting up seasonal decorations.
The kitchen is the first place that sees the season. I switch it up by changing out the tablecloth and adding a centerpiece. This time I opted for no tablecloth. The table wood is a natural element to my tablescape. Instead of a tablecloth I used a placemat for my bottom layer. To symbolize fall, I went with the beautiful white mini pumpkins and I found this cool mini pumpkin plant at my local Trader Joe’s. Last year I decorated the pumpkins, but this year I wanted a more clean look so I left them natural. It’s a simple tablescape, but looking at this everyday makes me happy and if it makes you happy then why not do it?
